Whitehead Riding is offering horse lovers camps during the spring and summer school breaks for children interested in horses, taught by experienced instructors in small groups. Participants will learn all level of horse care including grooming, feeding, caring for, riding, basic training, identifying, etc.

 

 

The horsemanship element of the camp begins at 9:00 am and ends at 1:00 pm. Activities include 1 – 30 minute riding lesson daily, lessons on horse care, handling, horsemanship, and ground work. From 1:00-6:00 campers eat, swim, play games, and work on crafts.

 

 

 

Campers may be dropped off at 7:30 am and should be picked up by 6:30 pm.

 Participants must be interested in horses, between 8 and 15 years old, and willing to learn.

 Participants may use our horses or bring their own if they have one. (Any horse brought must be under reasonable control of the rider.)

 Campers should bring a lunch, riding gear, swimsuit and towel, and clothes to wear when not riding.
